Oscar "Ozz" Warbach was a conservation illustrator of national reputation. Born in 1913 in New Jersey, he joined the Michigan Department of Conservation as a game biologist in 1941 and became the state's first conservation illustrator in 1954. He retired from the Department of Natural Resources in 1977. Warbach's illustrations and humorous caricatures of tourist behavior in Michigan's parks were meant to educate the public about the balance of nature and proper outdoor recreation etiquette.

All magnets are printed and assembled at the Michigan History Center in Lansing, Michigan.
